Hi:

This month I'm going to go over handling responses that aren't yet sales. You will be surprised how many sales you will get if you can only get people to call you.

One of the keys to getting sales regardless of what it is you're promoting is to gain a person's trust. There is no better way to do this than to give them something for nothing. What I do is offer people a free report on Internet advertising techniques that DON'T work, such as posting to FFA sites, classifieds and submitting to search engines. Once people sign up for this free report I then have them on my mailing list. The report goes out in the form of an auto responder series that I set up in Traffic Wave, one of the CHIP programs. If you are a member of Traffic Wave you can do this as well. If not, it is one of the best of the CHIP programs and I recommend it highly.

The other thing I do is offer people proof of my success. At the beginning this will consist of screen prints of your Adminder clicks to show people that you are getting replies to your ads. As you get sales you can then show screen prints of your Clickbank statements. As your income increases and your PayPal account grows you can then show screen prints of your PayPal statements. This process doesn't happen over night. It takes time to build up credibility but once you do you will see that the sales start to come a lot easier.

Now, the question becomes this. How do you get this info to these people? What I do is put the following in all my ads.

You will be surprised how many people will write to you. When they do, have a form letter ready that you can send to them. You don't want to write the same thing over again and again since you will be sending the same info to everyone. In it give them the URL of your free report and also the URLs of your screen prints. Yes, you will have to have these posted online. If you don't have a web site you can get free hosting from another CHIP program called Kiosk. Are you starting to see now how these CHIP programs offer more than just good leads? They offer great tools to help you with the rest of your marketing.

Also make sure you include your phone number in your emails. You'll be surprised how many phone calls you'll get. Many people are converted to sales because they've heard a real voice on the other end of the phone.

If you do the above things like clockwork you'll be surprised how consistent your responses will become.
