You can use autoresponders to close more sales,

When you set-up an autoresponder you write
messages that you "load" into it. You set these
messages to go out whenever you like. One can go

For example, I might set up my autoresponder like
this...

Message # 1: Delivered immediately
Message # 2: 2 days after previous

You just set-up the messages, create subject lines

subscriber over the course of 2 weeks, which is
about perfect. So you might want to use the above
schedule for sending out your own autoresponders
if it makes it easier for you.

Now how do autoresponders work to close more sales
for you?

The principal is simple...

A large majority of people visiting your website
WILL NOT buy the first time they visit. That's a
fact. Usually, it will take them 3 or more times
of being exposed to your offer before they decide
to buy, and it can take as many as 7 exposures,
hence the reason I recommend having at least 7
autoresponder messages.

It's like television commercials. You might not
really take note of what they're selling the first
or second time you see them. But soon, after
you've been exposed to the commercial over time,
you might start to really desire the product
they're offering.

Autoresponders work the same way. By being
delivered again and again to your prospects,
you're able to keep your offer in front of their
mind. So, in time, after multiple exposures,
they're much more likely to buy from you.

But that's not the only reason autoresponders work
so well.

They can also be used to build credibility in
yourself as an expert, which is important when
trying to establish your product as something that
can benefit customers. If they believe you know
your stuff, they're going to want to hear what you
have to say. And by using a course like the one
you're now reading, you can show how much you know
and that will be passed along to prospects so they
can believe what you're telling them and trust
your opinion.

Another way autoresponders help increase sales is
by keeping your product in front of someone that
might have not been able to order from you on the
day they first saw your order. Perhaps they're

relative and don't really have time to consider

Well, the best way is to give the potential
subscriber something for free. For instance, I
offer free reports. You can do the same.
Free reports are great because they don't cost you
a dime when you send them out, because everything
is online.

So what you want to do is figure out what type of
list you want to build. Your list should be targeted,
meaning everyone signing up on it has a common
interest. So if you were to create a list of dog lovers,
you could have a report titled something like, "10
Things You Must Know About Your Dog's Health
That Your Vet Will Never Tell You!"

Then, you know that everyone signing up for your
free report is interested in the health of their
dog, meaning they're a dog owner.

So what you would do to start signing up
subscribers is this...

1) Create a free report on a subject that has a
broad interest, but not too broad. For example,
"dog owners", "gardeners", "moms", etc.

2) Write a letter that offers the free report and
create it as a webpage. Do a search on Google and
you'll find everything you need to create a great
website that will serve you well. It doesn't need
to be fancy.

3) Get an autoresponder. A quick search at
Google under the keyword "autoresponder" will
yield a ton of results. Pick one you like. But it's
very important that you make sure the autoresponder
service you choose has a "broadcast" feature which
allows you to send out an email to everyone on your
list at the same time.

4) Then, set everything up and get the word out
about your free report offer. You can use
solo ads, PPC search engines like Google
Adwords, and even let people know from your main
website if you have one.

So how does the 10-minute email part come into
play?

Well, you go and search for products people on
your list will like. Dog owners would be
interested in buying health care products, toys,
etc., all for their dog. But what you want to do
is find products that have an affiliate program
attached to them so you get paid a percentage of
each sale you make. That's how you'll make your
money.

Now after finding a product you like and signing
up for the affiliate program so you'll get paid
each time you make a sale, it's time to write your
10-minute email.

Simply put, your email needs to describe the
product and tell your subscribers why they would
want to buy it. Simple enough, right? Then you

message so when someone wants to order, you get
credit (and paid) for it.

Authority", or something similar. The thing to
remember when creating your group is that it must
match your product, and it should be as specific
as possible. If I called the group, "Dog Lovers
Group", it's not very specific. So you really want
to narrow down your focus.

Then it's just a matter of listing your group and
waiting for people to sign-up as members. You can
even advertise your group through alternative
means, like from your website or small classified
ads. Remember, the more people that join, the more
people you'll have to sell your product to.

Once you have your group up and running, you run
it just like any ordinary group. Become the group
authority on the subject. This builds credibility
on your part. And then, from time to time -- or in
some part of your group pages -- mention your
product.

It's as easy as that!

Sure, it might sound easy. And it is. But

I want to give you some tips on what works and what
doesn't when you are promoting affiliate programs.
I learned this stuff from books I've read, seminars I've
attended, Gurus I've talked to, and most of all, because I've
tested it.

I'll be blunt. For the most part, gimmick traffic doesn't
generate results. It's sort of like when my son, Ryan, eats a
bowl of popcorn. After he's done, he's still hungry. (He's
always hungry:) He didn't really get the results he wanted, even
though he was chewing.

I've tried this gimmick traffic. It was a waste of time.
You can spend hours submitting to free classified ad sites,
adding your link to FFA pages and signing up for
"Guaranteed Hits" programs.

And worst of all, buying so-called "Qualified, opt-in" email
names when they come on a CD or cost $24.95 for 5 million names.
I haven't heard anyone say these tactics work except the people
promoting them. The problem is the quality is just too low.

What good does it do to make your hit counter spin like an Iraqi
Foreign Minister if it doesn't make any sales?

I've talked with a lot of CBmall owners. The ones making
the most money are using proven techniques for affiliate
success. They do not rely on gimmick traffic.

Low quality = Low sales It's an immutable law of marketing.
So what does work? Are there free tactics that are
effective?

You bet. They take a bit of effort, but they can work

Hi:

We discussed a little about autoresponders in the
last lesson. But let's dive in a little deeper and
learn how you can use these powerful tools to
close more sales, work less, and overall, make
more money.

I discussed how autoresponders work, but let me
quickly review...

When you set-up an autoresponder you write
messages that you "load" into it. You set these
messages to go out whenever you like. One can go
out immediately after someone subscribes. And
then, you can set-up your autoresponder to send
out messages at a predetermined time.

For example, I might set up my autoresponder like
this...

Message # 1: Delivered immediately
Message # 2: 2 days after previous
Message # 3: 3 days after previous
Message # 4: 2 days after previous
Message # 5: 2 days after previous
Message # 6: 1 day after previous
Message # 7: 3 days after previous

You just set-up the messages, create subject lines
because they are sent via email, and then
determine how often you would like the messages to
come to your subscribers. With the above example,
the autoresponder would keep coming to a
subscriber over the course of 2 weeks, which is
about perfect. So you might want to use the above
schedule for sending out your own autoresponders
if it makes it easier for you.

Now how do autoresponders work to close more sales
for you?

The principal is simple...

A large majority of people visiting your website
WILL NOT buy the first time they visit. That's a
fact. Usually, it will take them 3 or more times
of being exposed to your offer before they decide
to buy, and it can take as many as 7 exposures,
hence the reason I recommend having at least 7
autoresponder messages.

It's like television commercials. You might not
really take note of what they're selling the first
or second time you see them. But soon, after
you've been exposed to the commercial over time,
you might start to really desire the product
they're offering.

Autoresponders work the same way. By being
delivered again and again to your prospects,
you're able to keep your offer in front of their
mind. So, in time, after multiple exposures,
they're much more likely to buy from you.
But that's not the only reason autoresponders work
so well.

They can also be used to build credibility in
yourself as an expert, which is important when
trying to establish your product as something that
can benefit customers. If they believe you know
your stuff, they're going to want to hear what you
have to say. And by using a course like the one
you're now reading, you can show how much you know
and that will be passed along to prospects so they
can believe what you're telling them and trust
your opinion.

Another way autoresponders help increase sales is
by keeping your product in front of someone that
might have not been able to order from you on the
day they first saw your order. Perhaps they're
waiting on their paycheck. Maybe they have a sick
relative and don't really have time to consider
your offer. There could be a hundred reasons why
someone might want to order, but will put it off
until later. And by using an autoresponder, you
can keep your offer in front of your potential
customers so that when they are ready they won't
forget about your offer and they'll have an easy
way to access your sales page again online.

Hopefully the reasons above are compelling enough
to motivate you to start using this powerful tool.
They really can increase sales dramatically, and
no web-based business should be without one. So
take a little time to learn how to use your
autoresponder. To not use your autoresponder is
like leaving your ferrari in the garage, week after
week, and month after month. Dust it off and start
using it today!

Today we are going to cover some of the basics
of list building...


Building Your List

To start, let me unveil some of the mystery
surrounding list building and give you a basic
understanding of how it works.

First, you'll need an autoresponder. Are you
familiar with these little wonders? If not, let me
tell you a bit about them to get you up to
speed...

Autoresponders are "machines" that can be loaded
with messages that you write, or you hire someone
to write. In fact, the message you're reading
right now could be sent to you using an
autoresponder. It does everything automatically.

Whenever someone sends an email to your
autoresponder from their email address, the email
address they use is automatically added to the
autoresponders list manager. This is simply a list
of ALL the people that have ever sent an email to
your autoresponder.

Now with an autoresponder you can send out a
message whenever someone sends an email to the
machine. Or you can choose not to. It's your
choice. But what's important is that you're able
to collect and keep all of the email addresses of
people that have signed-up for your autoresponder.

But the first challenge you're going to run into
is how the heck can you get people to sign-up into
your autoresponder, right?
Worry not....

Here's How To Build A Strong, Hungry, Ready To
Buy Email List of Subscribers That Want To Buy
What You Throw In Front Of Them!

Well, the best way is to give the potential
subscriber something for free. For instance,
you can offer a free report. These are great
because they don't cost you a dime when you send
them out, because everything is online.

So what you want to do is figure out what type of
list you want to build. Your list should be
targeted, meaning everyone signing up on it has a
common interest. So if you were to create a list
of dog lovers, you could have a report titled
something like, "10 Things You Must Know About
Your Dog's Health That Your Vet Will Never Tell You!"
Then, you know that everyone signing up for your
free report is interested in the health of their
dog, meaning they're a dog owner.

So what you would do to start signing up
subscribers is this...

1) Create a free report on a subject that has a
broad interest, but not too broad. For example,
"dog owners", "gardeners", "moms", etc.

2) Write a letter that offers the free report and
create it as a webpage.

3) Get an autoresponder. But it's very important
that you make sure the autoresponder service you
choose has a "broadcast" feature which allows you
to send out an email to everyone on your list at
the same time.

4) Then, set everything up and get the word out
about your free report offer. You can use
solo ads, PPC search engines like Google
Adwords, Safelists, and even let people know
from your main website if you have one.

So how does the "broadcast" part come into
play?

Well, you go and search for products people on
your list will like. Dog owners would be
interested in buying health care products, toys,
etc., all for their dog. But what you want to do
is find products that have an affiliate program
attached to them so you get paid a percentage of
each sale you make. That's how you'll make your
money.

Now after finding a product you like and signing
up for the affiliate program so you'll get paid
each time you make a sale, it's time to write your
broadcast email.

Simply put, your email needs to describe the
product and tell your subscribers why they would
want to buy it. Simple enough, right? Then you
just include your affiliate link in the email
message so when someone wants to order, you get
credit (and paid) for it.

Then you "load" your email, hit the "broadcast"
button, and sit back and wait for the orders to
come rolling in.

But remember, you'll have best results -- and make
the really big money -- when you have a large list
of people receiving your broadcasts. So it's
essential that you put a lot of effort into
growing your list as large as possible. In fact,
when using this money-making secret, it should be
your primary focus.

Where is Your Phone Number?

There is probably a major problem lurking on your sales
page right now. And it could be hurting your profits.
Experts agree that one of the most important factors in a
successful website is credibility. This frequently
translates into the credibility of the site owner. People
are more likely to buy from somebody they believe in.
Is your website as credible as it could be?

People judge credibility by many subtle factors. Does the
design of the site look professional? Is the site well
written? Are there typos and grammar errors strewn
throughout the site? Is the author believable? Does the
author have experience in this market or with this product?
These are all important factors.

We also know that a strong guarantee is a key part of a
successful sales page. Taken one step further, the reader
needs to believe he will actually get a refund if
requested. And herein often lies a major inconsistency.
Look at your sales page and ask yourself: Who is standing
behind the product? What do you provide for contact
information?

If there is only an e-mail address, or worse yet, no
contact information at all, then you do not have a
believable guarantee.

If you want someone to believe that you stand behind your
product you need to be reachable. Put your complete
contact information on your web site. I'm not just talking
about an e-mail address. Consider adding your snail mail
address and even, dare I say, your phone number.

At first, I worried about using this approach. I feared
getting calls at all hours of the night. I worried about
getting overwhelmed. But, I reasoned, I could always remove
the phone number if it became a problem.

Turns out, having my phone number on the site is a
blessing. I have made dozens of sales because I have been
available to answer one or two simple questions from a
prospect. I now look at each telephone call as an
opportunity to help someone solve their problem and,
frequently, earn their business.

I have received numerous comments from customers saying
that one of the reasons they purchased is because they can
tell there is a real person standing behind this
business. The fact is, I only get about one or two phone
calls a day. And my sites have thousands of visitors every
day.

In summary, take a look at your own sales page or contact
page with a critical eye. Do you look like just another
anonymous web site? Or is there a person there; ready,
willing and able to help. The answer to these questions may
have a lot to do with your conversion rates.

At the very least, test putting your phone number on your
web site. Even if your web business is part time, with a
good voice mail system you will sound professional and you
can return phone calls when you are able. Try this
credibility improvement. And see if it doesn't improve
your sales.

You're running a fairly successful business but it requires you to constantly write ads to keep it going. Why? Because on the Internet, ads get old very fast. Once somebody has seen the same ad a certain number of times they reach a point where they become immune to the ad. That's why ads have to be freshened constantly.

So what happens when you sit down to write your weekly or monthly ad and all you can do is sit down and stare at a blank piece of paper or a blank computer screen? Nothing is coming. You couldn't write your name and address if you tried, let alone write an ad.

What do you do?

Well, there are a couple of things you can do. The first is easy. The second is also easy but something that very few people think of. Hopefully, after you've read this article, you'll have a couple of decent ideas for handling writers block.

The first thing you can and should do, is look at your ad writing from a different perspective. I'm not talking about trying to write a different kind of ad or ad style. I'm talking about looking at the ad itself from another point of view. Primarily, the point of view of the customer or potential customer. Put yourself in their shoes. If you were looking for this particular product or service what would YOU want to see in the ad? What assurances would you need to be given in order for you to take a chance and make a purchase? Sometimes we have to walk in another man's shoes before we can understand what it is that makes them either buy or not buy something. Just by doing that little thing alone, you have a very good chance of writing an ad the likes of which you've never written before. It may just turn out to be your best yet.

But if divine inspiration doesn't come to you, there's always another method you can use to come up with a new ad.

Go to your old ones.

If I just lost you, let me explain.

Over the course of time that you have been promoting your product or service, you must have certainly written a few ads that got you a decent amount of sales. Then after a while you noticed that the ad didn't get you any sales anymore. Well, there's a reason for that. The ad itself was still good. The problem is that is was overused.

So how does this ad help you now?

Simple. You need to go back to the ad and reread it. It's probably been a while anyway so it's doubtful you know what's in it. After you reread it you can do one of two things. If the ad is not too old then you can take parts from it that you know are good and come up with a new ad from it. But, if the ad is very old (and this is where you don't have to do any work at all) you can simply rerun the ad.

How's that possible? Didn't the ad already stop working?

Well, yes and no. It may have stopped working 6 months or even a year ago, but one year later, nobody is going to remember that ad. So, if you rerun the ad, there is a very good chance that you'll have some decent results with it. Try it some time.

There you go. Two great ways to get rid of Ad Writers Block.

The Summer Sales Myth

You hear it from marketers all the time. "Well, it's summer, so things are going to slow down." We hear it so much that after a while we actually buy into this myth. But did you ever sit down to think why we even believe it to be true? What do we base it on? Where are the supporting facts? Well, we're going to take a look at some of these so called "facts" and then I'm going to personally blow this myth right out of the water with my own statistics.

The main reason we believe that summer is a slow sales time is because of the weather and the fact that many people are off from work and going on vacation.

Well, here's the main problem with theory number 1, the weather.

The summer months, July and August, are not warm everywhere in the world. There are actually some places where July and August are not much different from January and February. And in other places, it's hot all year round so what's the difference?

What about theory number 2? People going away on vacation.

Who do you know besides school teachers that have the whole summer off? Last time I looked, your typical office job didn't give people 2 months off once July hit. Maybe 2 weeks, after you've been working 2 years plus, but not 2 months. And for those few people who are off for the summer, how rich do you think they are that they can afford to just sit around on their butts and do nothing? Many of these people actually look for part time summer jobs. This is a perfect time to pitch your biz op to them.

Think I'm kidding? Well, then this is where I get to use a few of my own personal stats to blow this whole summer theory out of the water.

Let me start off by saying that for one particular business I run, I average 22.97 sales per month. So if this theory holds any water at all, my summer months should be considerably less than the rest of the year. Okay, so let's look at my sales for July and August for the years of 2003, 2004, and 2005.

July 2003 - 25 sales
August 2003 - 27 sales

July 2004 - 19 sales
August 2004 - 15 sales

July 2005 - 28 sales
August 2005 - 26 sales

In 4 out of 6 months I had more sales than my average sale month for this particular product. And none of my summer months were totally horrible. I still averaged a sale every other day in August 2004. Some people would be happy to do that during their best times.

The point is, don't buy into the summer sales myth. If you use good advertising sources, write good ads and market everyday, you can make sales no matter what time of year it is.

One thing you have to do, of course is come up with an idea of what you want to do. And that doesn't mean hop from one program to another. It means picking ONE thing and working at it, whatever it may be. It's hard enough making ONE program work without trying to make several programs work.

Another thing you MUST do, especially if what you are doing involves selling or recruiting, is to work on your communication skills, primarily your ad writing. If you can't effectively communicate your message to people what do you think the chance is of them buying your product or joining your program? Effective communication is 90% of the battle.

It's important that when you're writing ads and sending them out that you track these ads in order to see which ones are working and which ones aren't working. Not every ad you write is going to be a winner. I have written my share of stinkers, with all my success. An ad tracker is critical to say the least.

Then of course there is always the actual places you advertise. Aside from email advertising there's message board advertising, traffic exchanges, Google Adwords, and a number of other things. You need to test them all and see what works for each. Some methods you will find, through trial and error, work better than others. Make a note of what works and what doesn't. Learn from your failures as well as your successes.

Also, don't be afraid to try a different tactic. Fear is a terrible thing and can paralyze us. What's the worst thing that can happen if you write a really outrageous ad? Nobody buys anything? That can happen even with a "safe" ad. One of the most crazy ads I ever wrote got me sales for a whole month until it finally got so old that everybody had seen it. If I never wrote it, I'd never have made all those sales.

There are two things though that are probably more important than anything else. The one is your worth ethic. You MUST consistently work at your business everyday. You can't say to yourself, "I'll do it tomorrow." That's one day shot, which means it's one day where you lose potential sales or momentum. You have to be consistent. In other words, either you do it right or don't do it at all. Doing things half way will NOT get you half way results. They will get you no results or close to no results. The Internet is a jungle and you MUST be prepared to give it 100%, 100% of the time.

And probably the most important thing you need to do in order to be successful is to learn from people who ARE successful. This doesn't mean they are smarter than you or better than you. It just means that they have figured out what it takes to be successful online and if they're willing to share these things with you then you'd be a fool not to learn whatever you can from them, even if it doesn't come free or cheap. Free gets you just that, nothing. Anything worth having is worth paying for. One of the best ebooks I ever bought online, several years ago, taught me most of what I know. The rest I learned on my own. But this book gave me a big boost. So the $97 I paid for it was well worth it, and the gentleman who wrote it has become a good friend of mine. Another excellent book I got cost me $19.95. This gentleman made it so that I made my first dollar online. He is also now a very good friend.

The reason I bring this up is because in addition to all I've just discussed, I realized that there was something else holding people back from success; a solid game plan. Well, I've taken care of that with my own book that I put together for people who are literally broke and can't afford much expense when first starting. This 3 step plan that I developed WILL start you on your way to success. No, it won't make you rich overnight or even close to it, but it will have you earning money for the first time in your life if you haven't already.

An Interview With Mr. Consistency

Not too long after I started promoting one of my programs I ran into a guy, promoting the same program, through one of his ads. I started reading the ad, for some reason, and I quickly realized that this person was not your normal Internet marketer. He was different to say the least. Very outspoken and not afraid to call it like he sees it. Anyway, I couldn't resist. I had to talk to him to find out a little about his background and what makes him tick. His name is Steven Wagenheim and I promise you that after you are done reading this you will have a very good idea of just who this quirky guy is. For the purpose of the Interview I'll refer to myself as Steve and Mr. Wagenheim as MC (Mr. Consistency)

Steve - I have to admit I was a little hesitant to do this Interview.

MC - Why's that?

Steve - Because after reading your ads I wasn't exactly sure what was going to come out of your mouth.

MC - (laughs) I guess I can be a little out there when I write ads, but trust me, I'm nothing like that in real life. Okay, maybe I'm a little like that.

Steve - Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.

MC - There's really not much to tell. In spite of my celebrity status, I'm a more than ordinary guy. I'm 48 years old, with a wife of 21 years and a daughter who's about to graduate high school number 1 in her class. I'm very proud of her. I wish I was that smart when I was her age. I'd probably be doing something else right now.

Steve - How did you get into Internet marketing?

MC - I lost my job. How else? Isn't that how everybody gets started? I don't know. All I know is that if I was still making $50,000 a year as a QA Manager I wouldn't be doing this. I needed work and since nobody would hire me I figured this was my only shot.

Steve - Were you successful right away?

MC - (laughs) Absolutely! The hundred dollar bills just came pouring from the sky. What are you kidding me? My first 5 months I worked at this paid typing scam. You know, post ads, get paid for all replies. I made $28 in 5 months. I was in danger of losing my home had it not been for my wife.

Steve - So when did the success start?

MC - It took a long time. Heck, I joined 142 different programs since that first one. Most of them closed up within a few months. I worked 7 days a week, 14 hours a day. I was worn out, discouraged, disgusted and about ready to quit. The only reason I didn't was because I had no other options. I was too old to get a job anymore. Anyway, like I said, it took a long time but eventually, with some help from a few nice people, I started making some money. My first month of "success" I made $303. I know that's not a lot, but it was more than I had ever made before. After a few months I was earning over $1000 a month. I was finally on my way.

Steve - While you were making $1000 plus a month, did you consider yourself successful?

MC - At first, no, not really. I was still at poverty level. But then when a friend of mine who I had met on the Internet made me realize that the kind of money these programs were promising wasn't possible without an enormous amount of time and money invested, and explained why, I realized that what I was making was pretty darn good.

Steve - You're currently making a lot more than that though. When did that start?

MC - It took a few years to get where I am now. And yes, it was and is an awful lot of work. Anybody who plans to make a substantial amount of money online better be prepared to sell their soul to do it. It won't just happen.

Steve - The book that you came out with. It doesn't promise you'll make a lot of money.

MC - No, it doesn't. It shows you what you can realistically expect to make within a reasonably short amount of time with a reasonably small effort. If you want to make more than this you better be prepared to get a ton of education and invest quite a bit of time and money.

Steve - Was it hard making the book?

MC - It was almost impossible. I had to first find a few programs that I had confidence in. Remember, I joined 142 different programs. Most didn't make it a year. The 3 in my book have been around for a long time and I can honestly say that if you follow the instructions in my book you will make what I say you can make. It's not a fortune, but it's real and relatively easy.

Steve - What about for people who want more than what they can make with your book?

MC - Well, it can be done, but like I said, they have to get educated and be prepared to put in a lot of time and spend a considerable amount of money. I don't mean to sound cruel but people who want to make money online and not invest anything are dreaming. It's not going to happen. I learned that the hard way.

Steve - I get the feeling that you're trying to say that making money online is hard.

MC - Making money online can actually be very easy, especially with 2 of the 3 programs in my book. Making a lot of money online is what is hard. But there is no reason why every person who wants to make money online can't make at least $500 a month with no problem at all.

Steve - I have to ask. Where did you get the title "Mr. Consistency?"

MC - It came from the program owner of one of the programs I promote, the same one that you promote. He calls me that because every month like clockwork I get my 25 to 35 sales. I'm not always the top sales person, but I'm always up towards the top of the list. Been there for over 3 years now. Honestly, I don't know what the big deal is. I just follow the instructions of the program and do it everyday like a job. I think that's why many people fail at this stuff. They don't take it seriously.

Steve - If you could give somebody one piece of advice as far as trying to make money online, what would it be?

MC - There is no one piece of advice. There's too much to learn. There's knowing how to recognize a legit program from a scam. It's knowing the difference between good advertising methods and bad advertising methods, and believe me, there are more bad than good. It's knowing how to write an ad. It's knowing how to make a schedule for yourself and stick to it. It's learning that you need to be honest all the time. Lies will catch up to you. I can go on and on. There is so much to learn it is literally mind boggling. While I'd love to personally teach everyone, I can't. I have put up a web site that is free. It's a training center. It's not going to make you a lot of money by itself but if you read everything that's there, commit yourself to working 14 hour days and be prepared to go through the most nerve wracking time of your life, in 6 months to about 2 years you'll start to make a considerable income if you have a great product and promote it correctly. Or you can just get my book and make a few hundred bucks a month to start right away.

3 Steps to Success with Google Adwords

Hi:

Google Adwords can be a real pain in the backside. I will be the first one to admit that. It isn't bad enough that their system for setting up ads is so complex that you need a math degree just to figure it out. Add to that the competition from other sites and keyword bidding wars and you are doomed before you even start unless you've got a budget the size of the national debt.

Or maybe not. Maybe there's a way to actually beat Google at their own game and everyone else in the process. Actually, there is a way and it's only by a fluke that I found it.

A friend of mine, from another program I was involved in, started his own business. He wanted to promote certain non Internet marketing products that he knew he wasn't going to be able to promote through the usual means. So he turned to Google Adwords. At first, he didn't have a clue and it showed in his results. It was constant testing and retesting. But eventually, and not without a substantial investment of time and money, he figured it out. He started cranking out products to sell on Google, each one more successful than the next. I had to find out what he was doing.

Oddly enough, he told me. Actually, he included it in a book he wrote. It was the best $47 I ever spent in my life. His book was responsible for me being where I am today. But there was one problem with it.

It was way too long and too complicated for the average person to get through. Believe me, I had days where I wanted to throw it out a window. So I called my friend up and told him he needed to simplify this whole thing.

He did one better.

He set up an affiliate program for his products where you simply sign up, no cost, pick the products you want to sell and set your campaigns up on Google. He's already done all the keyword stuff, all the cost per click calculations on what you should spend, written your ads, etc.

Trust me, they are. I should know. I am one of them. I haven't had a month yet where I didn't make money with his products. I literally do NO work after set up.

Reverse Psychology: What is it? Why does it work? And how to use it...

Hi:

Reverse psychology. It doesn't work on people like you and me, cause we're too bright to be taken in by that kind of hocus pocus. Reverse psychology is for all those "simple minded" people who don't know when we're playing with their minds. And since you're bright enough not to be taken in by reverse psychology, you're also bright enough to know that you don't need to read an email telling you what it is, why it works and how you can use it to get better results with your ad copy. So you can probably stop reading here since what comes next
is stuff you already know.

Interesting that you're still reading. Believe it or not, you've just been a victim of reverse psychology. Oh I know, you're probably going to say that I just got your curiosity going about what I had to say, and that's fine. The bottom line is, I got you to keep reading. And with some people, it's very easy to do.

So what is reverse psychology? Without going into a big medical explanation, it's the process of telling a person one thing when you really mean the opposite. For example. You're trying to get your 7 year old to eat his spinach. He makes a face. So after trying to explain to him how the spinach is going to make him strong, you say something like, "Oh, you don't want to be strong like Popeye. What for? It's not like you have to worry about some bully picking on you and getting beat to a pulp. And besides, if that should ever happen we've got plenty of medical insurance." Your kid may not immediately jump all over that spinach but there's a good chance that he'll at least give it a taste.

To use reverse psychology effectively, you really have to be trained, which I am certainly not. There are some good courses online that you can take. Getting into somebody's head is not easy, especially when you don't know what makes the person tick. Fortunately, when it comes to Internet marketing and people who are trying to make a living at it, you at least have some idea of the person's motivation, and it's simple. They want to make money. As a Big Dogs affiliate, and sending ads to people who are posting FFA ads and not getting any results, you know something else about that person. You know that they're NOT making money. This is really all the ammunition that you need.

So, how do you use it to promote Big Dogs to a prospect? For starters, let me point out that this is probably not something you want to use in all your ads. Eventually, even the simplest of people will realize what you're trying to do. So use this tactic sparingly.

There is no hard and fast rule for where in your ad to use reverse psychology. You can use it in your opening, your closing, wherever you're trying to make a point.

For example, let's take this opening.

I'm writing to you today because of the ad you've posted. I know it's probably bringing you a ton of responses and you're making a fortune from them, which means you really don't need to hear what I have to say, but maybe you'll want to read this anyway. If not, no big deal and I'm sorry to have interrupted your day.

There's more going on here than most people realize. For starters, there's the comment about them making tons of money with these ads. They're not. Then there's the comment about them not having to hear what you have to say. They do. And then finally, you apologize for interrupting their day. You're NOT sorry.

Now, let's take this closing.

I know everything I've just said to you doesn't really apply. I know you're probably having more success than I'll ever have in my wildest dreams, even with my $4,000 a month income. So I realize you didn't need to read any of this. Certainly YOU must be the exception. YOUR ads ARE being read. It's just everybody else, and that makes you one very lucky person. So if you know somebody who isn't having your luck, pass this site along to them. I'm sure they can use it even though you don't need it.

I've actually tried this closing in some of my ads. The results weren't knock 'em out of the ballpark, but each time I used this tactic I always made at least 1 sale. So it does work. Of course there's more to your ad than just this one paragraph. The rest has to be well constructed. But this little twist may just be the thing that pushes your prospect over the edge.

Especially if he's one of those simple people.
